History
Montgomery County MUD No. 101 was created in 2009 by an act of the Texas Legislature (H.B. 3166, now codified as Ch. 1028, Texas Special District Local Laws Code, referred to herein as the “Act”) pursuant to the authority granted under Art. XVI, Sec. 59 of the Texas Constitution. The district is governed by the provisions of the Act, chs. 49 and 54 of the Texas Water Code, and all other state and federal law applicable to municipal utility districts. The District currently contains approximately 329 acres and includes a portion of the Chambers Creek community.
